Once, a woodcutter accidentally dropped his axe into a river. He sat by the river, feeling sad. A fairy appeared and asked why he was crying.
The woodcutter explained his problem. The fairy dived into the river and brought out a golden axe. "Is this yours?" she asked. The woodcutter shook his head. The fairy dived again and brought out a silver axe. "Is this yours?" she asked again.
The woodcutter said, "No, mine was a simple iron axe." The fairy smiled and gave him all three axes as a reward. The woodcutter was overjoyed and thanked her. His honesty earned him more than he had lost.
Moral: Always be honest. Honesty is always rewarded.
