A little firefly looked up at the night sky. It admired the bright, glowing moon. I wish I could shine like you, the firefly said. The moon smiled and replied, You have your own light. But the firefly didn’t believe it. I’m too small. My light is weak, it sighed.
One night, thick clouds covered the moon. The forest became dark and scary. The animals couldn't see their way home. The firefly saw their fear and decided to help. It flew around, glowing brightly. The other fireflies saw and joined in.
Soon, the entire forest twinkled with fireflies' light. The animals found their way home safely. The firefly realized something important. It didn’t have to be big to be useful. Its small light made a big difference. From that day on, it never wished to be the moon again. It proudly shined in its own way.
Moral: You don’t have to be big to make a difference.
