The Hidden Treasure - Short Stories for Kids

There lived a farmer in the village that situated in nearby the river of Kaveri. He had four sons. They were all idlers and never helped their father. They always quarreled among themselves. The father was very much sad and worried about them. He tried his level best to mend their habits but all in vain. Once he was taken ill.

One day his father got ill. So, he called all his sons. The old father said, "My dear sons, I am very weak and ill. I may die any moment. There is a lot of money hidden in our fields, but I have forgotten where I had buried it. Dig that that field and get all the treasures out after my death."

The farmer died after some days. The sons dug every inch of the field but could not find anything.

As the field was well ploughed, they sow wheat in that. They had a very good crop. By selling the wheat they got lot of money. Now they understood what their father kept for them. It was really the hidden treasure. From that day they worked hard and lived a happy life.

Moral: No pains, no gains.

Two Frogs and The Churn : Positive Stories for Kids

Once upon a time two frogs were playing on a rainy day. Slowly, they hopped and hopped and came into a house. There was a churn of milk. Both the frogs fell into the churn.

Both the frogs tried for some time. But in vain. One of the frogs lost hope and said “I can’t swim anymore” and he drowned to the bottom of that pot. The other one did not lose it's hope.

He kept on swimming. His movements churned the milk into butter. The frog climbed on to a pat of butter and hopped out of the churn.

Moral: GOD HELPS THOSE WHO HELP THEMSELVES.
